My hope is to shed a huge amount of weight. Onwards and upwards with Slimming World in 2022. Habit Tracker: Habitify – it’s a tool I have lifetime membership for, I just need to reset the data and stick to it. I use another A4 notebook for home and work though, with any useful stuff getting transferred digitally into Obsidian or Evernote. I did start playing with a Bullet Journal, but it’s just for quick thoughts and notes. I haven’t embraced Zettelkasten or any other PKM framework like LYT as yet, it’s working great as it is thus far. It’s fast and simple, with privacy built at its core. Obsidian is fantastic, and appeals to the nerdy side of me. All of my “learning” activities will go into this: computing theory, tools, my MSc notes, my Azure learning, as well as a few of the soft skills courses I’ll be taking up this year. The idea of backlinking notes is so appealing and the excellent Obsidian Git plug-in has meant everything gets synced to my private Github repo and is therefore transportable. Obsidian has been given a dusting off.I’m still structuring some of my work things (daily scrums, system checks, projects) under Evernote, but we’ll see how it all goes. I love the Evernote “Home” page, and as part of my Weekly Review I structure a study plan, food journal, and “keynotes” – the key things I want to achieve for the week. Choosing these tools has been the most difficult part of the productivity toolset. Notes: Note-taking is a key part of any productivity system. I intend to keep it for another year, but we’ll see where we are at the end of ’22. Todoist will also be used – I’ve kept it for a good few years now – but it’s only really for Chores/Shopping stuff that I can share with Liz. Having paid for lifetime membership too it make sense, and it’s working really well. Sticking with GTD makes this tool a no-brainer. It works for me.Ĭalendar: Google Calendar. I’ve moved this taxonomy to my work and other email clients too. Keeping the same folder structure (Action Today, To Read, Waiting For and Storage). It’s been my framework of choice for a while, I’ve tried a few, but this is the one I keep coming back to.Ĭomms: GMail. Here’s where I am currently with my productivity setup:įramework: GTD (Getting Things Done). This category covers tools and frameworks that are used for daily productivity and help me establish my “purpose”. For me, there’s Purpose, Health, Money, Home, Work, Leisure, Learning and Relationships. There’s loads to be getting on with, so I’ve broken all my goals for this year into my “areas of focus” – those categories in life that are important to me, and where I can align my goals with. 3 months into 2022….and my first blog post of the year.
